Accessibility Issues Pane Let’s look at the Accessibility Issues pane The tabbed pages display Accessibility Issues by the page and as totals. Many issues do not require any changes; for example, several of these warnings flag bold text as possible headers, but few changes are likely to arise. The tabbed pages make it easy to find and fix issues, as the Converter highlights them in the Editing pane as you click them. As you do so, the Information pane displays details and tips about each one. This saves you clicking through the document page by page to find issues, which can save a lot of time with long documents Let’s fix an accessibility issue from the list. Clicking this warning selects the blue Dromex logo image. The issue is a missing alt text, which is a short description of the image that is displayed when you mouse over it in the browser, and is used by screen readers to convey the content of the image. The current total number of issues is 30 You click the Insert/Edit image button, and type a suitable short description of the image, “Dromex group company logo” in the Alt text box. You click OK, then click the Issues button to update the Issue count. The total decreases from 30 to 29. Note that for maximum accessibility, it is not enough to simply fix the issues that have warnings about definite, specific defects such as missing text. These blue information flags mark some further issues for which only human assessment can determine whether they require editing. For this reason, your editing process should include proofreading the entire document.
